Our Vision 

One restaurant, two areas. The Walled Garden and The Potting Shed provides our customers with two distinct areas from which you can choose to sit and enjoy our delicious menu.

Alternatively– Our very popular ‘walled garden’ table service restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience in beautiful surroundings

Our patio area is open on warmer days, providing the perfect place to enjoy a cold beverage or a meal al fresco.

‘Shop and Dine’

We are now open for evening meals on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until 8pm.

Pick up a few of those essential items for the home and garden and then sit back and relax with a glass of your choosing while you enjoy a selection from our evening menu.

Our Menu 

Our full seasonal menu is available in all areas.

There is a large selection of sandwiches, light bites, lunch mains and desserts. We also offer a delicious breakfast and brunch menu, afternoon tea, and Sunday lunch menu.


There is also a wide variety of wines, beer and cider by the glass and bottle.

Our Head Chef 

We wanted to appoint an exceptional and creative chef to launch our new restaurant. Pete not only more than fulfilled that criteria but as a local business we are thrilled that he has lived and grown up in Oxted.


We asked Pete about his life as a chef and what it means to be part of this venture:


“From my first experience in a kitchen 18 years ago I have never looked back. I embarked on a journey that has taken me to country house hotels, restaurants and renowned Hotels including the London Waldorf. I have worked alongside prestigious chefs including Malcolm Baggott and most recently under the 2 star Michelin trained Andrew Wilson as Senior Sous Chef at the Ashdown Park Hotel.

To love food, to be passionate about both fresh and quality ingredients is important. My role is to combine them into a memorable, healthy, visual and tasty meal made freshly for you – I hope you enjoy my menu”

I have two passions in life, cooking and gardening, so I feel privileged taking on the role of head chef at knights. I am fortunate to be able to cook my choice of seasonally inspired food in a beautiful environment that’s always changing with the seasons.
