Catering Manager
About the role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Catering Manager to manage the catering department at Nags Hall, Godstone which includes a 200 cover restaurant/coffee shop. This role will be accountable for the profitability and sales growth of the department and you will report to the Garden Centre operations Manager. You will be responsible for strategic decision making in the catering department, managing menu changes and price setting, liaising effectively with our other centre to ensure there is consistency implemented across both centres. You will ensure our standards are upheld and adhered to at all times and you will make sure that Company catering and customer service standards are consistently delivered. The role will involve hands on kitchen and front of house service where required to ensure smooth running of operations. The role will also be accountable for health and safety ensuring all COSHH and Food Hygiene standards are upheld and adhered to at all times. The chefs and Front of House Supervisor will report to you and you will oversee performance management, staff training, rotas, sickness and interview and select the right staff for any vacancies. You will have great attention to detail, a passion for food and great customer service. Our restaurant and coffee shops are open Mon-Sat 9am-5pm (including bank holidays) and Sunday 10am-4pm.
Skills and Experience Required
Demonstrated experience working in the catering industry and as a Catering Manager, Food Hygiene certification
