The Grape Hyacinth Valerie Finnis produces dainty powder blue flowers that grow in a conical shape that resembles a bunch of grapes, hence the name Grape Hyacinth, sat on top of tall and strong light green stems.
This fragrant plant is perfect for growing in a woodland garden. The bulbs will naturalise effectively if a group is planted under a tree but will also grow just as well if planted at the front of spring flowering borders or rockeries. Alternatively, plant the bulbs in terracotta pots alongside dwarf daffodils, or placed on a sunny patio or an outdoor table.
Flower colour: Blue
Flowering months: March, April
Flowering height: 15cm/6"
When to plant: August, September, October, November
