They are easy to grow in the UK and have a slow growing habit and compact size, but encouraging them to fruit is a different matter.
It will take at least 4 years for the tree to mature before fruiting for the first time, but it may never fruit
Tiny, fragrant, creamy-white flowers appear in summer, followed by edible green fruit (olives) in autumn
The olives must be picked and brined for up to 6 weeks before eating

Likes full sun in a sheltered location
Water well and feed during the growing season and in severe winters protect with fleece
