Foliage follows and later in the year the flowers will turn to black berries
Great as a large specimen at the back of a border or as part of a mixed hedge
Plant in a sunny position in well drained soil. It can grow in part shade, but will produce less flowers and berries
Water well until established and add a mulch of compost or well rotted manure each spring
After flowering stems can be cut back in winter by a fifth to keep its shape
