A stunning houseplant with pinky/red tinged heart-shaped foliage making it a beautiful addition to the home
It is very adaptable to British homes coping with the bright light in summer, low light in winter, central heating which dries the atmosphere and even if it misses a drink of water!
Bright, indirect light is best for the colour and shape of the plant, lower light levels may mean the plant turns more green in colour
Allow the top part of the soil to dry out between waterings and water less in winter
Average home humidity is fine, but if the house is very dry in winter then mist the plant regularly, keeping it away from radiators
Also avoid draughts keeping the plant in a steadily warm position
Use a liquid fertiliser through the growing season only
As the plant matures the foliage will become more lobed and broader and stems may gently trail over the edge of a shelf. Alternatively you can use a moss pole for it to climb up
