Racemes of creamy-white flowers are produced in late spring before the leaves open and are strongly fragrant
The foliage that follows appears bronze-tinted and velvety green bean-like seed pods follow after flowering
Plant in any well drained soil in sun or part shade
Wisteria needs regular pruning to keep its overall size under control and improve the flowering display
It is best pruned twice a year in July/August after flowering and again in Jan/Feb
