Garden Sundries Supervisor

 

About the role

We are looking for someone with proven retail experience to take responsibility for supervising a specific product area; our Garden Sundries department, which includes garden tools, seeds and propagation, plant feed, lawn care, fencing and landscaping products. Key duties include:

  • Responsible for supervising the department in terms of stocking up, cleanliness and driving sales through excellence customer service and retail standards
  • Work closely with the divisional manager to create eye-catching displays
  • Deliver friendly and positive customer service, confidently answering customer queries face to face and on the telephone
  • Operate the till system (EPOS – electronic point of sale) and identify opportunities for growth through data analysis
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage stock replenishment
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met
  • Foster a positive team environment aligned with company values. 

Skills and Experience Required

Customer service and retail experience required, ability to lift large and heavy objects. Knowledge of gardening products and equipment an advantage. 

Role Type

Full time (40 hours per week), Monday - Friday and alternate weekend working (Thursdays off).
