Chef/Sandwich Artist

The 'Plant House' is an award winning coffee shop located at Knights Plant Centre in Betchworth.

We are looking for a driven Chef/Sandwich Artist to join the team.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual with a background working as a chef in coffee shops and restaurants.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, have strong attention to detail, and be able to manage the kitchen and produce in line with food safety regulations.

About the role

A a chef/sandwich artist, you will be in charge of preparing hot and cold meals, sandwiches and pastries, maintaining food safety standards in line with regulations, and be responsible for the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience as a Chef/Sandwich Artist in a commercial catering setting
• Understanding of food safety regulations
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members
• Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
• Must be able to commute to both our Betchworth and Nags Hall centres
• Food Hygiene, Allergy Awareness and COSHH certification required

Hours

Part Time, with alternate weekend working. Whilst you will be predominantly based at one site, you may be required to work at either centre
