Large, oval shaped leaves appear light green with dark green margins and over time the light green changes to hues of pink/red
Like any prayer plant its leaves lift and lower according to day or night
This plant likes bright, indirect light, warmth and humidity
Water when the top part of the soil starts to dry out, but Calathea like a lot of water and can cope with being slightly damp, but not soggy
They are sensitive to tap water so make sure you use rainwater or filtered water
Dry air is a problem, so keep the plants misted or on a tray of damp pebbles
Use a liquid fertiliser monthly in the growing season
