Promote bee safe products and promote bee friendly plants

We are committed to encouraging our customers to make their gardens a bee paradise

With bee populations in decline our gardens are vital fast-food takeaways serving up a varied menu of plants and providing the shelter and nesting places bees need. Our gardens are now proving to be better habitats for bees than our countryside.

We are committed to encouraging our customers to make their gardens a bee paradise.  Flowers provide pollen and nectar for bees, butterflies and other insects that perform the vital task of fertilisation.  We will advise you on which plants will flower and provide the nectar (carbohydrates) and pollen (protein) bees need throughout the seasons, examples are Crocus and Mahonia for early spring and Michaelmas daisy, Sedum spectabile for late autumn.

We also actively promote the use of wildflower meadow seed and leaving an area of your garden to grow wild to attract bees and other pollinating insects to the garden and we promote bee friendly plant remedies.
